Spring Break 2017

We are homebodies and rarely travel.  

This year for Spring Break, my dad booked us his timeshare condo in San Diego

and forced us to go on vacation :)

My parents, Dustin, and the Heals came with us and we had a really good time!

 It's hard to vacation with married kids and juggle work and school schedules.

Emmie and Bronson were the only ones that came with us.

We need to plan another trip soon with everyone!

 Bronson's hair struggled during this trip.  He wasn't very cooperative 

to fix it either!  What a goober :)

 We had so much fun on the rides!  I had the time of my life!!

There is nothing I love more than a scary roller coaster and we rode every single ride -

more than once.  We all got a kick out of Brittany screaming on every ride!

Since Boston is tall enough to ride everything, she had no excuse to stay behind!!

Home Away From Home

Because Dave spends so much time in Vernal, we needed to buy

a trailer that we could park at one of the well sites.  

 Also - the other bonus is that Vernal has the cutest temple!

Dave and I have already done a couple of sessions there.

I'm really falling in love with that town!  I can't wait until we have a second

home there that we can enjoy!

Oil Wells

I have neglected this blog and I need to get it caught up!

Just over a year ago, we purchased 7 oil wells in Vernal, Utah.

This has been a long year for us because Dave has spent 5-6 days a week in Vernal and

comes home on the weekends.  It has been a labor of love!

When we bought the wells, there was only one that was pumping (kind of).

In the past year, we have overcome so many obstacles but now have 5 wells that pump

with very little maintenance needed on them now.

These pictures were taken last summer but it gives you an idea what they are like :)

Emmie's 15th Birthday

Emmie is now 15 - which is crazy!

Her friends, Maddy and Aubrey

came and kidnapped her and took her to breakfast :)

 No birthday would be complete without the honorary cupcake

placed by the Young Women's Presidency ;)

Talbie's Bridal Showers

Talbie had 2 beautiful bridal showers

(not to mention the ones her friends threw)

The first one was a family shower that Lynn threw at her beautiful house...

 Lynnie gave her this apron that used to be Grandma Hunts!

Her second shower was thrown by wonderful friends in our ward -

Angie Farley, Kylee Haggard, and Holly Anderson

It was Pride and Prejudice themed and perfect!

All these girls have/had been in our ward since birth!

Emmie the Basketball Star

Emmie struggled with Osgood Slaughter's Disease last winter/spring.

This kept her from playing soccer and she was devastated!

It's something she will grow out of but long story short, she grew faster than her

muscles across her knee could keep up with.  They would both hurt so much when she ran.

She decided to give Basketball a try.  It ended up hurting her knees as well, but she enjoyed it.

She played for her 9th grade Canyon View Jr. High Team.

It was fun because Logan played at the same time for the boys team :)

During this time - she also did physical therapy on her knee...
