A New Favorite

Have you tried these wonderful things?

I bought some at Target a few weeks ago that
were on their clearance rack for 70% off.

Dave and I tried them right after that and loved them!
They are a great little thing to use when you're on a date
or need fresh breath fast. Dave takes them to the temple
with him to use after he eats dinner when he works.

On Thursday I had to check Bronson out of school
to go to the dentist. I realized after I got him that
he'd need to brush his teeth but we didn't have time
to go home and brush!

The orthodontist has a place for you to brush your teeth
when you get there, but not the dentist.

Then I remembered the "Wisps" in my purse!

He used one the whole way to the dentist
and his teeth were sparkling!

YEAH~

Déjà Vu

Yesterday Talbie was digging through her closet and
discovered that I've been storing my wedding dress
in her closet and she never knew it!

First she was amazed that there were things in the
back of closet that she'd never seen before,
then she wanted to try it on.

Man it brought back memories digging the dress out.
It used to be white and now it's turned a little
off-white (which is now in style).

Talbie fell in love with it and asked if she could wear
it when she got married. I said, "Go for it!"
We'll see if she really wants to in 6-10 years :)

Merit Badge/Family History

Bronson and his friends have been working on the merit badge "Citizenship in the Community" with our Stake. As part of this project they had to make a poster/presentation about their community. My mom's side of the family were some of the first settlers in the Provo/Orem area and I knew that the Loveless family once owned the land across from Costco that used to be the Sharon Stake Orchards. As we were finding old pictures for this poster, we came across the Orem City Historical Guide for old building and houses in the area

This house was on the registery. This house is located on 800 South across from Costco and it was built in 1909 by James Anderson Loveless - Bronson's Great Great Great Grandpa. It's still standing today and has been restored. We went there tonight and snapped a picture with Bronson in front of the house.


This was so fun to do and it makes we wish I had a time machine that I could use to go back in time 100 years when the only thing standing besides this cute house was orchards!

Brigham's Homecoming

Our nephew/cousin - Brig came home from his mission
last week. He was in Billings Montana.

It was so great to see him again. I'm surprised
at how much I've missed our nieces and nephews
when they have left on their missions. I can only
imagine how much you must miss them as their parent!

His mom, Marianne hosted an Open House on Saturday
so we could all come and mingle. He gave a beautiful
talk on Sunday.

Emmie and Charlie

This is Moki and we decided once and for all
that Emmie was going to conquer her fear of him.
She's never been afraid of dogs but for some reason
Moki had scared her to death. She did great and by the time
we left they were best friends!

Tricking the Tooth Fairy

Well - our Tooth Fairy days are over after Emmie lost her 2nd front tooth!

On Saturday night she noticed her other front tooth was loose but didn't say anything. After Dave went in to lay by her, she secretly pulled it out and placed it under her pillow.

Yesterday morning she jumped out of bed and said, "Hey mom, last night I wanted to find out if the Tooth Fairy was real or not so I pulled out my tooth, put it under my pillow and guess what - she didn't come so it's not real!" Before I could even protest or try and save it she said, "And you owe me a dollar!" Dave thought the story was so funny he gave her $2.00.

Mr. "Fix-It"

Dave is my HERO!

He's so wonderful in so many ways but the past 2 days he's been great :)

One of the reason Dave is so great is because he can fix ANYTHING! Whenever something breaks and he says he can fix it - I ask him, "Have you ever done this before?" He ALWAYS says "Yes" even though he usually hasn't. But he can figure anything out.

On Monday we needed to fix the head light in our Durango that had gone out. Our car is 1 year and 1 month old so of course it wasn't covered under warranty anymore for a broken headlight (light bulb) so before we spent a small fortune on getting a light bulb fixed, Dave and Bronson got online, found how to get to the burnt out bulb, and got it out. $15.00 later (I know - still alot for a light bulb) it was fixed!

Yesterday it was my gas oven that wasn't working. It stopped working on Sunday and I've been in a panic ever since. I have 2 ovens but the upper oven never works unless you want to burn the bottom of everything you're making.

Dave wasn't sure about this one but he tore into it, looked up some things online and starting saudering some wires to something and - Viola! The oven now works!

Maddie's Birthday Part 2

On Saturday we took Maddie out to lunch
for her birthday.

She wanted to go to her favorite place...
"La Dolce Vita"

I was excited because it's my favorite too!

We got there at 11:00 but they weren't open.
We waited patiently outside for a couple of minutes
and then we saw the sign that said they didn't
open until noon on Saturday :(

We couldn't wait because she had a hair appt at 12:30
so we had to go somewhere else.

She chose her next favorite place
"Rice King"
just down the street.

It was good but I had my heart set on "La Dolce Vita"
Maybe I'll just have to make Dave take me there this week anyway :)

On Sunday Aunt Sandy and Alisa came over with presents
but Maddie was at Maddie's house. Sandy gave her a
gift card to Target and Alisa made these beautiful
headbands and made this AWESOME cupcake-cake

Last night we had a house full of friends over
to celebrate.

Instead of cake we had doughnut holes. Yum!

Then Maddie dug into it!

Maddie's friend, Logan saw Emmie lurking on the stairs
and came to her rescue. She got to join the party after that!

I think she had a fun birthday!

Another "Shiner"

Bronson came home from school looking like this...

He was playing "tag" out on the playground
and didn't watch where he was going and ran
right into a metal pole!

He could barely open his eye this morning.

I couldn't believe that he didn't call me from school
when it happened so I could pick him up.

He said, "It's not a big deal!"

He's obviously getting a lot of attention from the girls!

Preference 2010

Last weekend Maddie and her friends went to "Preference"

To ask the boys they made cakes and put their
names in the middle of the cake

Her friend, Sam answered her with this DISCUSTING
jar of goo she had to sift through to find the correct
amout of change to see if he answered "yes" or "no"

Preference morning they kidnapped the boys
and took them out to breakfast!
