New Christmas Ornament

I put the Christmas decorations up on Monday but we haven't
decorated the Christmas Tree
yet because we haven't had a night that
everyone was home.

Last night Bronson was busy making me an ornament.
He was telling me different things about it but I have to admit
that I wasn't paying that close of
attention to him :(

Today I saw this lone ornament on the tree.
I LOVE IT!

Bronson found 4 pennies with the years 1993, 1996, 1998, and 2002 on them.
(the years the kids were all born).

Then he spent an hour or so out in the garage hammering holes in the top
of the pennies.

Then found some silver pipe cleaner and finished the ornament.

Isn't he a sweet boy?

"Annie"

Well, Talbie had a week off and then they had auditions for
"Annie"

She had 3 different auditions this past week and this morning
we went to the school to see if she'd made the play and...

She did!

She's one of the orphans
and she's so excited :)

I guess I'd better figure out what's wrong with my stupid
sewing machine!

New Moon Was Great!

We had such a great time last night at the "New Moon" premiere! My friend had rented out an entire theater that she sold out. It was a 9:00 showing so we didn't have to wait too long. IN FACT - we ate dinner before and then go to the theater 15 mintues before the show started because it was reserved seating so we didn't have to worry about finding a seat. It was so great!

And the movie was 1,000 times better than the first!
A bigger budget makes a world of difference when making a movie!

Talbie wasn't so lucky but next year for "Eclipse" I'm making her come with me!

They got to their theater 3 hours early and had to wait outside most of the night
But she had the time of her life!

Dave picked them up at 2:30 am and she was higher than a kite!

Tonight's the Night!

Talbie has been counting down the days until "New Moon" came out.
I have to admit I didn't think I'd be as excited because it was my least favorite
book out of the 4...

But our Girl's Night Group got tickets to see the first showing tonight
Salt Lake...

..and I'm really excited :)

Talbie is going to a midnight showing tonight with some of her friends too
and will probably be missing school tomorrow.

My "New" Toys

My mom has a huge playroom in her house and about 30 percent of the toys in it are toys that we had when we were kids. My favorites are the Fisher Price village, airport, and schoolhouse. These are another 2 of my favorites. I got these two toys when I was little and they have survived 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 13 grandchildren.

Last week when I was at my mom's she told me I could take them home with me before they were ruined :)

They're finally mine - ALL MINE!!

(Maddie's a little jealous of the record player but I'm NOT letting her have this one!)

Talbie's Flour Baby

Talbie graduated from taking care of an egg to cariing for a sack of flour in her Child Development Class. She brought it home on the first day and gave it a makeover by drawing a face, adding hair, and dressing it cute.

Emmie even got to be the babysitter a few times :)

Closing Night

Last night was closing night for Talbie and the play. These kids worked so hard and it was quite a production. This has consumed the past 2 months of these kid's lives. It will be a much needed rest! Here are some fun pictures I stole from my friend's facebook page ;) (Thanks Elena!)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Tomorrow is my dad's birthday! Happy Birthday Dad!! Brittany and I tried and tried to get him to go to lunch or dinner with us but he always had an excuse but he did manage to make time for Maddie and Talbie to go to lunch instead. I think I'm offended :)

Opening Night

Last night was opening night for "Joseph, and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at Talbie's school. These kids have been SO DEVOTED and have spent 2 months practicing everyday after school until 5:30 at night. That's a 10 hour day for most of them. Through it all, Talbie never complained ONCE. That shows you how much she loves being on stage. Here are some pictures but remember I have the worst camera in the universe for long distance shots!

We are going as a family again on Monday night so I will try and take some more pictures of the finale. Those costumes were really fantastic but my camera was really being a bugger by that time. I know I'm going to kicking myself in a few years that I didn't invest in a better camera while my kids were involved in things. If anyone else gets better pictures, will you email them to me :)
