Emmie the Basketball Star

Emmie struggled with Osgood Slaughter's Disease last winter/spring.

This kept her from playing soccer and she was devastated!

It's something she will grow out of but long story short, she grew faster than her

muscles across her knee could keep up with.  They would both hurt so much when she ran.

She decided to give Basketball a try.  It ended up hurting her knees as well, but she enjoyed it.

She played for her 9th grade Canyon View Jr. High Team.

It was fun because Logan played at the same time for the boys team :)

During this time - she also did physical therapy on her knee...

 

Koda and Zu Zu

Maddie and Logan have 2 little dogs that we LOVE!  

Zu Zu is almost 3 and Koda just turned 2.

We love these little dogs and they have become such a big

part of our family.  Here are some of my favorite pictures of them lately!

The Downing's Part II

I have never gone without publishing something to this blog - at least one a month

since 2007!  Now I look and it's been 4 months!  YIKES!!

I'm determined to not let this slip so I am catching up!

I will start by posting some favorite pictures from Talbie's wedding that Jessie took.

She was such a great friend and photographer to have!

Talbie and Parker are Married!

Saturday was a beautiful day!

(Exhausting - but beautiful!)

 We started the day off at 9:00 am when we dropped off the decorations

to the Provo City Ballroom.  We saw this sign in the elevator and were so excited!

 

 My good friend, Caryn and her family did all the decorating and it was AMAZING!

They were truly lifesavers because we would have never been able to pull it off

and be at the temple in time!

Talbie and Maddie picked up the flowers and met us at the library

Here is Caryn and her girls.  Talbie and Kayla (next to her) were born 1 month

apart.  We had just moved into our current house and it was our first Sunday there when

I met Caryn.  It was her first Sunday back after having Kayla.  They have been friends their

entire lives - literally!!

 We came home around 10:00 and Dave made us breakfast while

Maddie got Talbie looking beautiful :)

 

It was a beautiful temple sealing performed by Elder John Hafen.

These 2 were made for each other!

 The luncheon/dinner and reception were beautiful!

 I'm excited to see the pictures that Jessie (our wonderful photographer)

takes.  She is amazing and we were blessed to be able to hire her ;)

Such a great day!  There were SO many people that came to support her.

She felt very loved!
