First Day of School for Emmie 2017

Emmie started her sophomore year this year.

She did some fun school clothes shopping with her 

best friend, Maddy and posed in front of her favorite store :)

 First day of school picture for these two.  It's tradition but this was the

very first year that they weren't in the same class, or even the same school :(

Emmie decided to switch schools and now goes to Timpanogos High School.

It's been a little weird since we have all (including both Dave and I)

graduated from Orem High School.

She's very happy though and loves it there with all her friends!

Grandma Knowles and Talbie's Birthday

 On July 21st, we celebrated Grandma Knowles' 72nd birthday

Lynn is always the perfect hostess!

 Then, a few days later Talbie and Parker came in to town during

a school break in Rexburg.  This was perfect timing because we could

celebrate Talbie's Birthday!  

This is a great picture of her signing some copies of her published novel!
Grandma bought a bunch to give to her friends and she had Talbie sign each of them :)

It's an amazing book!!

Brock Leaves on His Mission

My nephew, Brock Heal - was called in July to serve a mission in the

Washington Federal Heights Misson

These pictures were taken on the day of his farewell

 I love this picture showing Bronson's tortured face and wondering

if I'll ever stop talking so we can go home.

 Dave had to leave for Vernal the next morning and wouldn't be

there on Wednesday when we were meeting for breakfast before he

was dropped off at the MTC.

This picture melts my heart.  Brock has the Heal family have

been our back door neighbors since before he was born.

They are just lie our own children!

 We met Kneaders for breakfast the day he went entered the MTC

 He's been out 6 months now and is doing great!!

Girl's Camp 2017

Lisa Brickey was our ward camp director and she was awesome!

It was a great year and we are already in full planning mode for this year's camp!

Bronson's High School Graduation

Emmie's Learner's Permit and Physical Therapy

In April 2017 - Emmie got her learner's permit and we started

teaching our very last driver!  She has watched me yell and scream

and everyone else as they learned to drive so she's actually pretty good!

 For the past year, Emmie has struggled with knee problems

diagnoses as Osgood Slaughter's Disease.

It happens when your growth plates are still open so you

grow faster than your muscles.  This has happened to her along the

front of her knee cap.  This has caused her to stop playing

soccer and she did physical therapy for quite awhile.

They are getting better, but she still struggles ;(
