We got all of our family pictures back for Jessie.

New Family Picture

Last Wednesday we had new family pictures taken by

Jessie Evans (Jessie Alexis Photography).  She does such an excellent job

and  I got to see one of them yesterday and I'm so excited for how they've turned out.

Homecoming 2012

Talbie had a great time at Homecoming!

I'm just so thrilled that her first date/school dance, was so fun for her!

Here in Utah, the school dances are "marathon dates."  They last

the entire day!  Her date, Morgan, picked her up at 11:00 and they 

went boating.  She had so much fun and was in a really fun group of all her friends.

Talbie had never been boating, since we don't own a boat!

She rode on the tubes being pulled by the boat and had so much fun being knocked off :)

She got home around 3:00 to get ready for the rest of the evening.

I'm really mad at myself because I did not get good pictures!

I took a million of the bootineer I picked up for her, but in the hussle

of him coming and me and Talbie trying to pin on his flower, I

later realized I didn't get a single picture of them standing together!

I will post the fun pictures they had taken together and as a group

as soon as she gets them.

OHS Homecoming Assembly

Talbie and her friend Sarah and Marilyn performed

at the Homecoming Assembly this morning at OHS.

They were SO GREAT!  I know how stressful it must be to perform in front

of a thousand of your closest friends!  They had to audition for a chance to do this

and there were only 4 groups chosen :)

Feeling Old!

It's really hard to prove to your kids that you were ever "cool" or had good 

taste in clothing at anytime in your life.

I tried to explain to my girls that when I got married, my dress was

really beautiful and in style.  They dug it out of the closet

and tried it on.  I have to admit - it didn't look as cute as I remembered it :)

Emmie's Science Fair Project

We finished Emmie's science fair project last night. Her project was evaluating which toilet paper was the most absorbent and the best value. It turned out great!

Talbie Getting Asked to Homecoming

Talbie was so excited to get asked to Homecoming this year!

She was asked about a week ago and we had fun shopping for a dress

last weekend.  Homecoming is next Saturday!

When she was asked, she was just getting out of the shower

when the doorbell rang...

 There was a giant Rice Krispie treat shaped like a Hershey's kiss on the front porch

 We answered him a few days later with little Hershey Kisses

 We got a chocolate eye ball and wrote on it "Eye' would love to go!  Talbie"

Be buried it in a bucket of kisses.

 We had great success finding a darling dress!

We actually bought two dresses because each dress was under $20.00.

Now we have a spare :)

Maddie got everyone decked out before school started and

saved me a fortune at the salon :)

Bronson does not like to get his hair cut -

 Emmie got a "home" hair cut/trim.  She wants to keep growing

her out but refuses to wear it any way but in a pony tail.

Random Happenings...

We've had a busy summer and I'm finding that

I am only taking pictures on my iPhone these days because it's so convenient.

I've also been loving Instagram so I find that I don't blog as much as I used to.

I still need to keep a record of things going on with our family and

the blog is a good place to do that.  So - here are some our latest happenings...

Talbie went to Girl's Camp on July 24-July 28.  She had a great time!

She was a ward and stake YCL this year with her friend Kayla Crandall.

Camp was a huge success this year.  Our ward theme was

"We Can Do Hard Things" and they used "Rosie the Riveter" as their mascot.

 Before she left for camp I took my cute girls to Target for some last minute supplies :)

Talbie turned 16 the day after she returned home from camp.

We had a fun family party on Sunday and then on Monday- we went to the 

DMV and got her license!

She's a little nervous driving still but she has already taken herself to

the library and the mall!

Bronson had Scout Camp the week after Talbie got home.

Bronson is the oldest Deacon and will be 14 in October so this was his last

camp as a Deacon.  He had a ton of fun and finished up some merit badges he needed.

 Dave and I were able to go up on his last night for a fireside.

It was fun to see him :)  

Let me just say that boys at camp and SO much different than girls...

 Bronson was there for 5 days and only changed his clothes ONCE!

When he got home and we started to unpack his stuff, everything was clean and folded - just

like he had packed it.  The most disturbing thing was this "pristine" hygiene kit I sent with him.

It wasn't TOUCHED the entire 5 days.  Eeeewwww!

 

Our latest party was my cousin Holly's baby shower on Saturday.

 She is having her first baby - a girl - any minute!

We're so excited for you, Holly!!
