Lynn is Dave's sister and she has had this birthday idea for awhile and Emmie was her "trial run". It was such a great party! Here are the highlights...
Each child has their own baking station. They made their bread and then their own homemade pizza
Emmie was the birthday girl so she got to wear the chef's hat
Watching carefully so they knew what to do next
We had 2 kids that couldn't come so Maddie and Talbie got to try their baking skills too
Rolling out the pizza dough
Even Dave got to make a pizza :)
While the bread was rising and the pizzas were baking, Emmie opened her presents
The pizzas were delicious!
Then they iced their own 2 layer birthday cake

The bread turned out great too and they each had their own loaf to bring home to eat. They also brought home their aprons and Lynn made!
Such a great party!
The final surprise was the birthday girl got to bring home her own baking set.

what a fun party idea! i have to admit that i am glad to be past the big friend party stage, of course now there are less friends but more expensive things to do.
What a clever idea. Maya loves to bake and would LOVE to do this for her birthday party. Too bad we don't live in Utah any more.
