The Lower Lights Christmas Concert

Last Monday we went to the Lower Lights Christmas Concert

My brother Dustin is The Lower Lights and this concert is the

highlight of our year!  This year it was held at Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake

and all 4 shows sold out in record time.  

If you haven't heard their music, you must!!

 Emmie snapped this picture of Dustin talking to Mitt Romney before the show started.

Mitt Romney hires The Lower Lights to perform at a lot of his private functions and Dustin

has gotten to know him pretty well. 

We thought we were pretty special because Dustin had bought our tickets before they went on sale and we had the front row (or so we thought).  They ended up putting about 3-4 rows of chairs in front of us for their true fans (like Mitt Romney).  Then we knew we weren't special!

First Presidency Christmas Devotional

Our friends, the Anderson's were able to get tickets to the 

First Presidency Christmas Devotional last Sunday and they invited us to go with them ;)

It was such a treat and we had the best seats!  We were on the 3rd row!!

We were able to watch all the Brethren walk in and sit with their wives in the audience.

We sat 2 rows behind Elder Ballard and President Nelson.

I have decided that I am taking my good camera with me everywhere from now on

because my phone takes horrible pictures lately!

Sister's Christmas Party

My Grandma V (Vivian) died 18 years ago and every Christmas since,

the Loveless girls (My mom and her 2 sisters) have been getting together in her memory.

My mom doesn't have any brothers so we call it a "sister's party" and all the girls come.

My grandma LOVED to throw a party and we have a great time when we get together!

This year my Aunt Georgia was in charge so we decided to meet at the Marriott for

brunch.  It was so delightful because there wasn't a big mess for anyone to clean up afterwards :)

Halloween 2015

We had a pretty low-key Halloween.

With kids being older, we didn't do a lot.  Emmie went to a friend's house and did a 

little trick-or-treating.  Bronson was supposed to work for a couple of hours.

Dave and I didn't want to be home for trick-or-treaters so we went to a movie with my 

parents and then to dinner.  My aunt Laura and and her husband, Brad

have just moved here from Caldwell, ID so it was fun to have them come with us.

Here are the costumes for this year...

 Emmie was a hunter

 Bronson was the "Swig" kid.  (He works at Swig, which is a

drink - ice cream place in town.  The kid on the cup and on their

logo looks a lot like Bronson ;)

Bronson's Homecoming Jr. year 2015 - Part 2

I like to document how the kids ask and answer for the dates they go on.

Here is how Bronson asked Abby...

 Then he colored the letters of his name and added them back to the

cereal.  Abby is on the softball team so that's why he used a softball :)

Homecoming 2015 - Bronson

This last weekend was Homecoming for Orem High School.

It's Bronson's Jr. year and he went with his long time friend, Abby Henson :)

This picture was taken when he picked Abby up for their "day date"

Their group went to Provo Beach Resort for bowling, games, and fun!

I'm thankful Abby's mom and I are friends because she texted me this :)

Back to School 2015

Bronson and Emmie started back to school on August 21st this year

and I'm just now getting their first day of school pictures on here...

Emmie is in 8th grade this year

 Bronson is a junior (11th!)

These pictures are so blurry but they are the only ones I have from my Phone ;)

And finally - we can't forget one with Logan and Emmie together!
They have a first day of school picture every day since preschool!

Family Pictures 2015

We got some family pictures taken before Talbie heads back to school in a couple of weeks...

I like how they turned out :)

Talbie's 19th Birthday

We are lucky that Talbie is between semesters at BYU-I when her birthday hits in July!

This year Dave and I took her out to dinner at Tucanos (so yummy!)

She wanted books for her birthday (no surprise) so she picked out the ones she wanted.

We got really lucky/blessed because after dinner, we walked into

"Zion's Mercantile" which is in the Riverwoods, by Tucanos.

We were the only ones in the store at the time so the wonderful art curator 

took so much time telling us about all the wonderful art work they have on display/for sale

and the massive collection of antique books they have there.

Talbie was able to see/touch a first edition of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice"

 ...also "Sense and Sensibility"

 The Complete works of Shakespeare from the early 1800's

 And a Charles Dicken's book

This was the best present she could have asked for :)

Bronson's "High Altitude Camp"

Bronson's Priest Quorum have a tradition of going to Park City

every summer for their "High Altitude Camp"  They do this instead of a

High Adventure Camp :)  

We have had such a wonderful young men's leader for the past 6+ years.

He just got released so Bronson was happy he was able to do this with his great friends in the ward.

Dave was lucky enough to get to go too. He was able to get some pictures...

They ate very well :)

 They did the Alpine Slide in Park City too!
