Provo City Center Temple Open House

This afternoon we had the privilege of attending ANOTHER temple open house!

We were able to tour the Payson Temple just 8 months ago.

Right after the tour, we saw my friend's daughter who is serving a mission here!

It was fun to see (and meet) Lauren!

 These temples just keep getting more and more beautiful!  This temple is breathtaking inside!

I have never seen so much stained glass in my life!

Christmas "Day"

Well - because our kids are older and Maddie and Logan

have to split their time between both their families, we decided that after we got

home on Christmas Eve from grandma and grandpa's - we would have "Christmas!"

 This was so great!  Even though my kids are older - they

ALWAYS wake us up at the crack of dawn.  Doing this meant we could sleep

in and not get up so early :)

 Christmas was a success and everyone was happy with their gifts.

Bronson got a 3D printer and it kept everyone busy the rest of the night.

He and Logan have been creating things on it ever since!

Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's

Our family tradition is going to my parent's house for Christmas Eve.

We always have such a great time together!

Christmas Eve is always a long day as we wait

for 5:00 to come when we can go to Grandma and Grandpa's house :)

 The kids played games until Maddie and Logan (and their puppies)

came over :)

 Zuzu is deathly afraid of our cameras for some reason.  She hid under the 

Christmas tree while we opened presents that the kids gave to each other

and to us.

 Koda loved his new chewy sticks ;)

 I hit the jackpot this year.  Talbie made me this beautiful quilt/wall hanging

and Maddie is turning my blog into a book!  She gave me the first year (2007) 

for Christmas this year!

 

After we opened presents and PJs, we made pomanders (oranges with cloves stuck in them)

This is a family tradition of mine and they make the house smell wonderful!!

used to make.  Divinity was one of the things we wanted to try, but knew it was going to be tricky!

The Lower Lights Christmas Concert

Last Monday we went to the Lower Lights Christmas Concert

My brother Dustin is The Lower Lights and this concert is the

highlight of our year!  This year it was held at Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake

and all 4 shows sold out in record time.  

If you haven't heard their music, you must!!

 Emmie snapped this picture of Dustin talking to Mitt Romney before the show started.

Mitt Romney hires The Lower Lights to perform at a lot of his private functions and Dustin

has gotten to know him pretty well. 

We thought we were pretty special because Dustin had bought our tickets before they went on sale and we had the front row (or so we thought).  They ended up putting about 3-4 rows of chairs in front of us for their true fans (like Mitt Romney).  Then we knew we weren't special!

First Presidency Christmas Devotional

Our friends, the Anderson's were able to get tickets to the 

First Presidency Christmas Devotional last Sunday and they invited us to go with them ;)

It was such a treat and we had the best seats!  We were on the 3rd row!!

We were able to watch all the Brethren walk in and sit with their wives in the audience.

We sat 2 rows behind Elder Ballard and President Nelson.

I have decided that I am taking my good camera with me everywhere from now on

because my phone takes horrible pictures lately!

Sister's Christmas Party

My Grandma V (Vivian) died 18 years ago and every Christmas since,

the Loveless girls (My mom and her 2 sisters) have been getting together in her memory.

My mom doesn't have any brothers so we call it a "sister's party" and all the girls come.

My grandma LOVED to throw a party and we have a great time when we get together!

This year my Aunt Georgia was in charge so we decided to meet at the Marriott for

brunch.  It was so delightful because there wasn't a big mess for anyone to clean up afterwards :)
