Dave's New Truck

About a month ago, Dave got a new truck.

He was in bad need of the purchase.  His old truck barely ran and he had to

drive down the road holding the door closed because it didn't latch.

He's deserved this purchase so much!  He works so hard and this

makes his job much easier :)

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year ;)

Dave and Bronson bought me these hanging plants and

made flower boxes for my front porch!

 Talbie sent me a nice card and Emmie made me these darling envelopes

and I open one every time I feel a certain way.  I love them!

 We went and saw Dave's mom at Lynn's.  She's always happy

to see her baby boy!

 Maddie and Logan gave me a bouquet of flowers.

Talbie at BYU-I

Talbie started her second semester at BYU-I about 6 weeks ago.

I think she was a little more apprehensive to start school this semester because

the newness had worn off and she knew she had a lot of work ahead of her.

She liked her roommates last semester (except 1!) and she was nervous

moving into a new apartment with new roommates.

But...  She has had such a good time.  She LOVES her "room" roommate,
Sarah L from home.  She is just awesome!!  Sarah is engaged and her fiance's apt

has a bunch of really fun guys in it AND they happen to be in the same FHE group together.

Other May Happenings...

May is always a busy month with school ending.  Here are some

random things we've been up to...

Bronson got to go to the academic party at his high school

and he scored this awesome shirt!

 We went and saw the new Avengers movie at the Mega Plex!

 We got our garden planted and we have been having plenty of

rain to keep it watered :)

 We attended the new Payson Temple Open House.

This is the most beautiful temple I have ever seen!!

I think it may be the biggest, as well!

 Last Saturday we ran  5K to help support Sierra Strong.

Sierra is the daughter of the kid's favorite teacher in Jr. High, Mr. Strong.

Sierra has been battling Leukemia and this run was to help earn

money to help cover all her medial costs!

 It was superhero themed :)  

Me, Maddie, Logan, Emmie, and Logan Heal ran it.

Logan (or big Logan as he's refered to :) 

was fast and came in with the first 20 people!  His time was 22 mintutes!

Maddie, Emmie, and Logan (little Logan ;) were right behind him.

I came in at a cool 44 minutes, which I think is pretty good considering

this was my first 5K and I walked 80% of it ;)

End of the Soccer Season

It was a great soccer season for Emmie!  She had her last game a week ago

and it was so fun to see the progress this team has made since last summer.

Emmie is one of the youngest on this team and we are really hoping it can stay together

for the next season :)

Spring Break 2015

We had Spring Break a week ago.  Dave and I both had to work so

we didn't get to do anything too exciting but we did take a day

and drive to Manti with the kids.  The plan was to have the kids do baptisms

but the temple was closed that week.  We haven't been having very good luck with that

because we just got back from moving Talbie back to Rexburg for school and Dave and I

wanted to do a session there too but the Rexburg Temple is closed for cleaning :(

Talbie wanted to take our picture.  She's so funny!  She said, "Mom,

let me take some pictures.  I'm a professional" - as she tumbled to the ground :)

 It was so cold the day we went and even snowed!  Utah weather is so bizarre because

it was in the 60-70's all of the other days of Spring Break!

It's so weird to not have my entire family in all the pictures I take these days.

Maddie and Logan work and go to school so they usually aren't with us.  It doesn't

feel the same without everyone.  Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you get old!

Taking Talbie Back to School

Well, the time came for Talbie to go back to Rexburg and BYU-I.

She has been "off track", which means she basically has her summer break

between the months of January to April.  BYU-I has 3 semesters.

Here we are ready to leave.  We tow her car with us because it's an old

car and a lot of trips back and forth would wear it out even more ;)

 We stopped and ate in Layton and Talbie was so excited because we saw a

Training Table and had to eat there.  This is her all time favorite restaurant and all of the

ones in Utah and Salt Lake Counties have gone out of business.

 Once we got her stuffed moved in, we hit the grocery store before it got too crazy

with all of the other students moving in.

with family room, piano rooms, and a great work out room.

I'm so thankful that she has Sarah to be her roommate this year.  They have been

friends since elementary school :)  I'm also so thankful that the Gee's are there.

It's nice having family close to her.

I was so bad at taking pictures.  This is Pace who fell in love with Dave because

he would take him outside any time he wanted :)

This is Pace with his dad, Shawn as we were leaving.  He wanted to come

with us and we would have taken him ;)

Easter 2015

General Conference was on Easter this year so we wore our

Easter outfits the Sunday before...

 Then on Easter Sunday, The Gee's were here for the Saturday Session.

We got to watch Pace and Abram while they attended the afternoon session.

 It was so fun!!

 Then after the boys got back from the Priesthood Session, we went to dinner with

Shawn and Amy.  It was her birthday so she had the privilege of being sung to by the

opera singer who works there.  It was really great.  I will post the video below...
