Crashed!

Our trusty computer crashed last week and we completely

lost the hard drive! If any of you have been through this you

know our pain :(

We just picked up the the computer with a new (ginormous) hard drive.

They are still recovering our data (pictures and music we of course hadn't

backed up) - but at least we have a computer in the house. We've all

been using my ipad to go on the internet and it's been a pain!

Anyway - many posts to update soon (more when I see if they can recover my pictures!)

Happy Birthday and My Jimmer Cake

Yesterday was my birthday and it was such a great day!
I'm so thankful for my wonderful family and great friends. That's
better than any present I could have received!

One of the best presents I got for my birthday was kisses
from this handsome guy...

This is Boston - Brittany's little boy. I like to think that Brittany
is his "real" mom and I'm the "fun" mom!
I bring my ipad to church just so he'll always want to sit by me :)

We went over last night while Dave was working in the temple
and watched the BYU game with the Heals.
Brittany made me this awesome "Jimmer" cake!

We thought it was going to bring us good luck -
but we were wrong!

We had a good time anyway!!!

BON JOVI !!!!

Tonight is the night Maddie's been waiting for since Christmas!
Dave and I have her tickets to the Bon Jovi concert
tonight! We conveniently bought her 3 tickets so she could take
us with her! But, last minute I decided to let Bronson go instead of
me because he's never been to a concert yet - and he's in love with
the guitar and we was excited to see a real band play live!

Dave sent me these pictures tonight from his phone...

Maybe we got such a good deal because the tickets are in the
major nose-bleed section!

I would not have enjoyed that!
I'm kind of a snob :)

They are having the time of their lives though!!!

Bronson's Ukulele

Bronson's skills at guitar making have improved quite a bit and over
the past few weeks, he made a ukulele. He spent his own money on the
tuning keys and strings but the rest of it was made with scraps from the garage.

My parents came home today after being in Vegas for 2 weeks.
My dad works there during the week and my mom usually goes down with him
because they have a house there.

My dad must have been in a shopping mood this week because Brittany
and I got these little treasures :)

Thanks dad - you're the best!

Update on Dave

I posted earlier about Dave's exciting trip to the ER a week ago Sunday and how we had to call an ambulance to get him to the hospital because he was so sick. Well, I'm thankful for good friends and neighbors who were there just as fast as the paramedics - and for our good Bishop who was there before the ambulance left for the hospital and who was able to drive me to the hospital.

Dave was diagnosed with diverticulitis and had a kidney stone. He was extremely sick and the Bishop and Jared (my brother in law) were able to be there as he was admitted and give him a blessing.

I won't go into detail too much about the blessing because of how public my blog is, but I will say that one thing that stuck out and I really remember (as with many other things) is that he was promised that his problem would be pronounced so they would be able to pinpoint what was wrong, and treat it.

That's a blessing as you all know because there is nothing worse than going to the hospital and doctor, knowing you are very sick, but they can't find anything wrong with you. Within 2 hours of being at the hospital, they were able to complete a million tests and find the accurate diagnosis for Dave - and how to treat it.

Yesterday Dave went to his regular doctor and after lab work was done, there is no sign of his kidney stone, or diverticulitis. He has gotten 100% better and is back to normal. He passed his kidney stone, without really even knowing it. He's had kidney stones before and he knows what a blessing this is.

I'm thankful for our Church leaders and the power of the priesthood in my life and the lives of my family!

Happy Birthday Zoey

Our faithful dog, Zoey turned 8 this week.

We got Zoey when Emmie was 1 and she's been an important part

of our family.

I love Zoey but not enough to throw her a birthday party

so Maddie put one together for her for family night.

She made a carrot cake (so she could have some) and went to the

store and bought her a present (doggy snacks).

She was very happy with her birthday surprises!

Klondike 2011

This weekend Dave and Bronson went on the Klondike
with their scout troop. They had a great time but I'm mad at Dave
because he didn't get a single picture of he and Bronson together!
Oh well!

Their troop won 1st place in fire building and won
a new solar lantern!

They had a great time! Dave was good to go with Bronson on his first
Klondike. Dave wasn't feeling well when they left and he came home on
Saturday afternoon really sick. By Sunday he couldn't even get out of bed and
by Sunday night he got up for a minute to visit with his sister, Sandy and he
passed out cold! We couldn't get him up and after laying on the kitchen floor for
a minute or two, we called an ambulance!

I'm so glad Sandy was there. She checked his vitals as the paramedics got there
and went with us to the hospital.

Long story short, he has a kidney stone and diverticulitis. He's home recovering
but he's been a pretty sick boy!

Dallin the Dancer

Today Brittany was over and we were watching Maddie
choreograph her senior solo. Dallin (Brittany's son and my nephew)
was really getting into it :)
